The Meadows racino in western Pa has so far generated a half million
a week from gambling; the share for the horse racing development
fund. Nice deal for horseguys. This is going to allow, according to
one horseman, higher purchasing power to buy horses. One said this
August when he buys horses, his usual $4000 will be up to
$10,000..."because the new purses will justify it."
So when I go to the Meadows racino and play the 5/7 Bonus I am
helping the horse farms make a better profit. After reading that, I
am happy I played the nickle vp for that couple hours. Some horsemen
out there owes me a big thanks for my contribution.
A friend was with me and he couldn't believe I was playing nickle.
He's a $5 AC player. However, he was able to control himself and
play only dollars. He spent most of his time playing DDB with a
slightly lower payback than Bonus. I played nickle and figure my per
hour theo loss was about the cost of a large popcorn at the movies.
I also got free coke at a $1 apiece. (You have to tip or they will
spit in the second one) Will I be a regular? I like horses. I just
can't understand why I and the rest of the gamblers have to help
starving horse owners. I will guess the owners benifit the most; not
the drivers or riders. When mom and pop are going out of business
how many casinos do they erect to make profits to help them? I
don't think I'll be a regular.
