50% tier bonus credit BONUS at Caesars Properties

According to my Tahoe host there is a special bonus in addition to the
regular bonuses (for example an extra 100 tier credits if you do 100 tier in a
day, 5000 extra if you do 2500 tier) -- he says it is this

···

------------

Starting January 1st through 3/31/15 you will earn a 50% tier bonus on
your first 50,000 tier credits. Daily bonuses do not count. You do not need
to do anything, your bonus will be added to your account 4/15/15.
-------------------
He said an email was sent out to players. If so, I didn't get it. Also I
assume from what he said this is for all properties.
Do any of you have more information? This apparently is a 50% bonus on
the tier credits you earn, not on any extra bonuses.
Hope this is correct because I had heavy play in January due to some odd
circumstances.

how would these changes/announcements affect diamond in a day (DIAD) or are the bonuses only applicable AFTER you've achieved diamond?

thanks in advance,
m.

The logical assumption would be that you earn the 5,000 points, get the 10,000 point bonus, then get the 7,500 point bonus on 4/15. I don't think the bonus will be a factor in DiaD between now and March 31st. The e-mail/offer states you have to earn 1,000 points to start earning the bonus. Not sure being Diamond matters. A friend who is Platinum also got the e-mail/offer.

Anyone care to verify (or refute!) my thinking on that or this idea: I am low Diamond- think I had 18,000 total points last year. To renew Diamond for next year, if I can do five 1,000 point days before March 31st, I would achieve Diamond, correct? Earn 1,000- get the 1,000 daily bonus, then get the 50% bonus times 5 days equals 15,000 points, right? Not sure I can afford to do that before 3/31, but it is an interesting proposition.

Thanks, Lee.
