So Harry, my first order approximation just sucks...
Hardly, you were just doing a little hip-shooting.
As a charter member of the "VP gang that couldn't shoot straight", my
"first order approximations" are usually laughable. I'm hardly in a
position to pass judgement
better than being totally blind, like Karen.
That evokes an image of a woman in dark sunglasses wildly bashing a
cane back and forth between the machines in an effort to hunt the best
ones out (... hmmm, come to think of it, I may actually have spotted
someone like that on a recent trip. Was that you, Karen??)
My main local concern is a base Bonus 7/5 game. Usually it is a
progressive royal, plus the three quads that grow.
More fun is an Aces, Royal and Straight-flush three-way
progressive...a rare combo...found locally...a favorite of mine.
I hear you. The one occasionally decent $.25 play at Mandalay Bay is
a 9/6 DB 4-way progressive (with a meter on quad 2/3/4 as well). It
takes a fair collective climb for this machine bank (actually, linked
banks) to go "positive", but when the meters are attractive it's a fun
chase.
That's one occasion where I'm pleased to have a limited number of
stats in my hip pocket.
