$5 Vp Bankroll

Many players greatly underestimate reasonable bankroll requirements.
Even with .5% cash back on 10-7 DB, a $60,000 bankroll would be way
too small to reasonably surive on $5 VP. $200,000 would be more
realistic. One would be much better off to play $1 DB rather than $5
DB with 'only' $60,000. Using certainty equivalence, I developed a
rating system to judge different games and different denominations
that incorporates variance, game return %, and bankroll. The rating

This discussion seems to assume there is some bankroll that guarantees you
will not lose. If we assume a bankroll corresponding to a 5% risk of ruin,
1 our of 20 people who try will lose all their money. And if you start off
unlucky and lose a significant portion of your bankroll, your risk of ruin
goes up. Even a positive game is still gambling and may result in a loss of
your bankroll.

It also assumed 800 hands/hour, which is way too high after all the
time out for paperwork. Not to mention a natural tendency to slow down
since errors are very costly at these limits. Cut those earn figures in
half.
