Hi Guys,
Haven't been posting a lot lately. Been playing a lot of Texas
Hold'em online every day. For right now I'm more interested in
trying out my strategies than attempting to win big. Have spent the
last five years intensely studying the game and running computer
programs trying to find that edge and a sound method for winning.
Without a game plan, ahead of time, your only chance of winning is
based mostly on luck, a sure way to lose at live poker or video
poker. So far I'm winning more that I'm losing, but just barely.

I still get down to MGM and Greektown Casino once a week to play
some vp usually on a Monday or Thursday. At MGM, all I play is
their Double Bonus Progressive, and only if it's up to $1400 or
more, and all I'll wager is $100 max.
Lately at GT, I've been wagering a hundred on each of their best
games when I'm there. I've been switching games, mostly to break up
the boredom. Playing Texas Hold'em is very exciting and vp pales in
comparison. The first thing I do when I get there is head for the
poker room and look at the progressive total on Bonus Deuces. If
it's $1500 or higher, I'll try a hundred. Remember, royal or not,
this game has a long-term percentage of 98.8% and you will usually
lose most of the time if you don't hit the royal or some other big
payout.
Then I'll play a $100 in the Pick'Em, NSUD, 9/6 JB machines. If
I'm ahead after playing those, I'll walk over to the bar to see what
the dollar progressive is up to. If it's $1200 or more I'll put what
I'm up with into the Bonus Poker game (99.6%) and give it a shot. If
I get up or down a hundred, I walk.

The way I play is more of a money management system than a
betting or winning system. Most of the time, Greektown wins, but you
only have to hit that dollar royal once to be able to stay ahead for
months, (if not years) using this system. Unfortunately, I'm still
waiting to hit that damn royal. But, I'm still doing OK on the
quarters so all is not lost, yet.
Gotta go, there's a poker game starting.

PS: My next article for Midwest Casino Guide will be a self-
described walk-a-round of Greektown Casino, from my point of view.
