5 days @ Bellagio and Miss America too

I just returned from VP overload, like a kid in a candy store. Tuesday I
arrived around noon to have the place to myself until my hubby and daughter
arrived Fri, AM.
Yes, there still is JOB 9/6 in the high slot room for $5 and $10 3 or 5
play. This is where I spent over half of my time. There also is that bank of JOB
9/6 $1 multi poker slant top machines against a post outside of Caramel
lounge.

Why I stayed up till 6 AM most mornings...

Tues., Wed, Thurs and Sat I had Miss America prelims to go to at night,
they were at the Aladdin right across the street and after each show I was
ready to go back to gamble. Saturday night I didn't even make it to bed ... big
mistake for me!!

Tuesday I played the $5 3 play JOB. For MONTHS I just felt the next royal
hovering over my head, soo annoying..... I don't usually play $5 but I had a
lot of money with me and my husband's income allows the flexibility, plus we
were getting comped on everything including and extra room for Fri and Sat,
prime nights.

Well, you must have guessed it the Royal popped up on the top hand after
holding two cards, I was not expecting it... I looked at the jackpot number
4000 and it took me a moment to believe it was for $20,000!!!! I whipped out my
cell and called all my friends, and then after asking if it was OK I took a
picture of it, well 4 pictures to be exact!
The next day I hit 4 deuces for $5,000, and at least one other $5,000
jackpot on a non VP. I hit about 40,000 in taxables but that is misleading when you
may have put $1,000 in and then hit $1,200. I came home about $12,000 ahead.
I had accesss to $15,000.

One night before we all had to head out I played 5 play $1 Dueces. I was
down to 26 credits, one more play and a Royal without dueces popped up in the
top right hand for $4,000. Then as I headed back to the room I stopped at a
fun slot, $45 max bet, and hit the bonus and made another $4,000. That was
within 10 minutes of getting the last jackpot.

The machines I played in the high slot room were on each end of a bank with
the back to the casino wall.
A lovely young lady began to play on one end, she had no idea what she was
doing, I showed her her choices of 3 play, 5 play, $5 or $10, I don't know WHY
she was in there! She really enjoyed my help, I never mentioned anything
about poker.

Her friend comes in. She keeps telling me how much FUN this is!! I told her
if she wants to learn more she can buy books and software and practice at
home. The idiot guy says to me "it's better when you don't know what you are
doing, that is when you win" I laugh inside.
She asks me a question and I ask her what game she is playing, she says she
doesn't know and he says "It's poker, you know just poker poker !!" As if
there is only one kind, stupid me!! Now he is watching her win and drooling for
a cut of this, he wants to give her money and have her split the winnings,
she is not going for it. Then when she gets a taxable he swears that downtown
he has won $4,000 jackpots and has NEVER been taxed, I try to tell him, then
give up. He is an idiot , he is even local, and annoying and won't leave me
alone now. They leave and later I decide to have lunch and have the supervisor
lock up my machine since there are only two of them.

I return and shortly the girl and the guy acome back to their same
location. He asks me what the difference is between her machine and the one next to
it, those are all 10 play, not 3 or 5. yeah this guy is a real genius. He
REALLY wants to play now so he asks me if there are any other machines like the
one she is playing and I tell him yes the only other is the one I am playing
and he says..(heehee)...
"But that one was out of service when I tried to play it" And I tell him
no, I just had it locked up while I had lunch so no one else could play it!
Well, that made him mad, he was a local and he acted like he knew everything yet
would not leave me alone with his questions, DUMB ones at that!! He finally
quit bothering me with his attitude and then stupid questions for a while.

Then we witness a guy hit $500,000 on a $100 slot machine, two bets are max
. He has about $4,000 in. WOW. He begins throwing money into a bank of $100
poker machines. The idiot guy keeps saying to me " I can't believe this, now
this guy is hitting $1,500 jackpots up and down the row." I tell him it is
because he is betting $500 and at 3ofK it triples your bet, but he doesn't get
it.

That and the Royal were the best parts of the trip.
Oh and while we were at dinner in the Forum, we window shopped and I stopped
in a Marc Jacobs store, I have always been attracted to his purses but
cringe at the price. While I was looking I realized I could easily throw down the
cash and I did treat myself to one at $1,000. And when our group of 5 needed
to get from the Aladdin after Miss America with the very long cab line I
treated us all to a limo ride to the Mixer where we were having dinner and back
again to our hotels, what fun !!
I had a blast, could have come home with more but I just played until I
couldn't see any more every night.

The Bellagio was great and I even got $3,000 in cashback, I don't even want
to know how much I ran through the machines.
It took me two days to recover, I was in a coma like state for over 24
hours, but it was worth it. I really liked it best when I was alone and didn't
have my frowning hubby over my shoulder. I felt extremely safe there and I was
treated very well.

Congratulations on a great trip. The $20,000 RF must have been
amazing. I have been reading all of the bankroll discussions the
past few weeks and have a few questions for the bankroll experts:
Was Trudy's $15,000 trip bankroll adequate to play $5 3-Play? If
not, what is the appropriate trip bankroll amount to play this game?
I am assuming it is adequate to play $1 single play. Correct? How
about $5 single play? As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

I think we may not be reading things right - "access to $15,000" must
not mean her bankroll - you don't play $5 triple play with a bankroll
of $15,000. $5 triple play is eating $75 every hand so $15,000
represents only 200 hands.

On the cash back - I'm pretty sure Bellagio is .33% cash back so
$3000 in cash back would be about $900,000 through the machine on
that trip. That's about 15 -20 hours at triple play $5.

Those $5 triple play machines she's talking about at Bellagio are as
fast as any machine I've seen - I actually turned it down a notch
because it was too fast!! I've never done that before.
