$5 and up progressives

Details on all of the machines in a casino with sketches including bathrooms and hot dog stands sounds like a good project (:

The fact of the matter is that 5 card does an excellent job of tracking .25 progressives and the entire list can be printed out in 5 pages. Since there are significantly fewer progressives at the $1+ range, my guess is a couple of pages should do it.

Now, if you know of Casinos where the list of progressives $1+ would go on for pages, please list a few and that would be the end of it.

While all of the details of the machine including the make, model, serial number, whether it is a stool, seat that reclines, can hold 250lbs, slant top, upright, upside down, smoking, non smoking, on the left or on the right would be fantastic, simply the denom and type of game would suffice. (ie. $1 8/5 BP)

This may be a locals, non locals issue. I would start a list but as I mentioned in my prior e-mail, there are no VP progressives in New England. As far as hunting and pecking goes, I do enough of that on the job and prefer not to hunt or peck while I'm in Las Vegas.

There have been others that have requested info on Progressives. I'm not requesting info on when a play goes positive, just a simple list that goes beyond positive plays for Progressives.

It would be nice to have every machine in every casino listed, with all
pertinent details. Of course, this would be a ridiculous undertaking. I
understand why the database is restricted to to only "playable" machines.

I know of some casinos, for instances, where you'd have to wade through
pages of listings if you wanted to know the details of every single
progressive that the casino offered. Few of the progressives ever get into
positive range, and so it makes sense to only list those that are not bad to
play at reset, or are likely to go positive some significant percentage of
the time (not just once in a blue moon).

On top of everything else, it's hard enough for people to track accurately
the good plays in the casinos. People aren't going to track the machines
that don't interest them, and most aren't going to note changes for the
database for the machines that they don't play. This will tend to make the
bulk of the progressive listings stale and out of date. Bad information is
worse than no information.

Of course, if you want to undertake keeping track of the inventory at some
casinos near you, go for it!

I personally like the "treasure hunt" aspect of finding out what a casino
has, but I realize that not everyone does. I try to provide accurate
information about plays that I find, paying more attention to the details
than most do, but even I get things down incorrectly.
