Here's the beef on the (4) $5 El Cortez progressive machines:
Reset% Game
====== ========
96.79% 8/5 DDB
96.77% 16/13/4 DW ("Colorado Deuces")
96.18% 30/6/5 JOB
95.46% 40/20/5/4 KBJW
BTW I was mistaken on a couple of figures for 8/5 DDB, I had 40 coins for the SF instead of 50. Michael was right, it's 100.3% when the progressive is $50k, and the break-even point with triple points is 8555 coins or $42,775 - which is almost exactly what it was when I saw it about a month ago. Don't rush down to the El Cortez, though, someone hit it since then. Not sure how high it got, I think over $50k.

PS - for "Colorado Deuces"...can we say CDW? And last I checked, LV Airport no longer has "LV Airport" deuces, but CDW. This is the problem when using a location in a name for a variant of a video poker paytable - when the location changes their paytables, you're stuck with a name that's actually wrong. Good argument against "Wynn Deuces" or anything with a location in the name.
As I see it, the purpose of the database is to list all of the
machines in each casino that are anywhere close to being
positive ...
... So I therefore petition the administrator to list this and other
such progressives in the database.
The DataBase listing standards have changed with time.
The current criteria is detailed at the bottom of each Index
page:
1. ALL positive VP games in a casino
2. 9/6 JoB games
3. The best games available, if a particular casino doesn't
have any positive games.
In addition, if location and machine details are reported,
other 99% plus (base ER) games are often/sometimes
included. AND, I'll usually include any game that a member
specifically requests, if I'm given the applicable details.
Let me know the details on the El Cortez machines and
I'll put them in the DataBase.
