3x at Palms & "Deal or No Deal"

3X was working today on NSU machines. A friend reported he got them on
Thursday and they remained in his account today. So apparently NSU machines are
included in promotion despite what I was told by Palms personnel a few days
ago.

New "Deal or No Deal" machines are now in the Palms. These are the
Australian type penny machines with bonus rounds. The Deal show makes a perfect
premise for a slot machine. You get the usual payoffs, plus "scatter" bonuses,
and so on, and every once in awhile the "Deal or No Deal screen" which similar
to popular TV game lets you pick a box, which is "yours" and you can pick
more boxes, some are "low" and some "high" and you get offers to settle. Fun
game if you like this sort of slot. Maximum coin in is 21 lines x 5 per line
for a total of $1.06 per pull. To encourage max coin, you get more chance at
a progressive payout, and a big red button tells you to play the maximum for
more chance. Penny players will soon be $1 players with this one. (near to
buffet and restrooms)

I saw a guy with 6 million points on his card at Palms today. Yikes - that
is a lot of free food and spa treatments.

The Deal or No Deal slots are my favorites. One thing nice about this game, is that the jackpot is realistically set at $500 to about $2000 if you play max coins. I noticed the one at Red Rock progressed very slowly, while the one at the Palms seemed to go lightning fast ( $500 to 900 in 1 day ). I played about 10 sessions , for about $4000 coin in and ended up dead even ( 100 %) EV for my experience.
