$300 bankroll

I'm not sure if your $300 includes money for food and shows or not. If it
does, I would say plan to gamble only $100 and use the rest for food and
shows. You are not capitalized (even for $300) except for nickel single line in
my opinion. Those 10 line nickels that were suggested would take $2.50 a
pull, which could still eat you up.

Whatever your gambling bankroll, it sounds like you need to save money in
general. Here are some tips. Use the free shuttles to go to Sam's Town,
Stations Casinos, Palms, etc. $5 round trip on the CAT bus will get you around
town all day (24 hrs). A lot of free shuttles go to the Fashion Show Mall
(Palms, Palace Station, etc).

For gambling, definitely look for any "fun books", which also give discounts
on food and sometimes free drinks. Ask your own hotel if they have one.
The Stratosphere has one. Whenever you join a slot club, ask if there are any
free fun books or bonuses for joining. New signups get a good sheet at
Casino Royale. Some places such as Station casinos, Tuscany, and others may give
you free play for signing up. Harrah's currently is giving a free camera for
new signups, in which you may also win money.

Since you don't have a lot of $ for gambling, try to see some sights. Ride
downtown and view the Fremont Street Experience at night, and look for
funbooks. Watch the Mirage Volcano, Pirate Show at TI, look at the gardens inside
the Flamingo, check out the MGM and its lions, see the Bellagio Fountain and
inside garden.

For a good, cheap show, get a discount coupon in the Carnival Court outside
of Harrah's and see The Mac King Show during the afternoon (includes a free
drink). Look for coupon books in front of Paris and for any "what to see/do"
books with coupons at most hotel check-in desks.

If you have a lot of time and no money, find a tour company that offers a
free tour to Laughlin or Primm, which includes a free lunch, and some desert
scenery.

At night, people watch -- but don't spend your money on expensive drinks at
the "in" nightclubs. If you want to drink, it would be more economical to
sit at a keno lounge, pretending to play, and get a free drink, then carry it
around with you, or even buy your own bottle of beer in a small store. Avoid
paying for water by asking for a free bottle when you do play, and then
refill from a fountain. Or bring an empty water bottle from home, and just refill
from sinks and fountains! Those $2 water bottles ad up!

Look for cheap meals such as buffets at Gold Coast, hot dogs at O'Sheas,
discounted coupons. Fill up at your breakfast buffet, and grab an apple you can
eat for lunch. Then "splurge" at dinner if you have the bucks.
