3-day free trial of Video Poker for Winners available now

The software is available on www.videopokerforwinners.com. You
may try it for free for three days if you like to make sure it runs on
your computer (it runs on some, not all, Macs. On PCs, we've tested it
extensively on Windows XP. It should work on Windows 2000 but we didn't
have the computers to test it on.)

After three days, your free trial will be over and you cannot
get another free trial unless you do it from another computer. If you
wish to purchase the activation code to keep it permanently, the price
is $49.95. At the current time we do not have hard copies of the DVD,
but we will have those in a few weeks. I'm not sure if there is an
additional charge for the hard copy or not.

Beta testers will receive a free copy, but it will take a week
or so to get that organized.

Eventually it will also be available through www.bobdancer.com
and www.shoplva.com, but that hasn't been hooked up yet.

Ordered at the time of purchase for $8.95, including shipping. (I
stood in line waiting for the store to open

My take on the new Video Poker for Winners software:

1. Gameplay is excellent. Very fast and very smooth.
2. The Risk of ruin is valuable and informative.
3. The addition of Spinpoker, Super Times Pay, Fifty Play, and 100 Play are
appreciated and kind of fun.
4. The number of games and paytables is impressive but there are serious
ommissions; i.e. Pick 'Em and Double Joker
5. The inability to generate strategies for ANY game and paytable I can
configure the software for is a serious shortcoming.
6. I can't find a final hand distribution for a given session or overall
play.
7. There are no graphing functions for sessions or overall play.
8. The Autoplay is way too slow on the fastest setting to do any serious
simulations.
9. The game graphics are the best of any software so far.

Overall, I like VPFW and purchased it today. I think it is a valuable
additon to my arsenal of VP software.

I do hope that the shortcomings are addressed and that further enhancements
are made.
