3 accused in Pa of cheating vp machine for $420,000.

They worked the double up somehow. Double is not allowed in Pa, according to news, but one machine had double on in error. The gang of 3 went to casino 14 times and are accused of doubling 61 times; to the tune of 420 Gs. The news gets foggy though. The article mentions somehow being able to take a $1000 hit and increasing amount on screen to $5000. It's also claimed that the cheaters didn't need to spend money. I think the news has something wrong. Over the next few days things might be more clear. To read about search Meadows Pa slot cheat.

By the way, I have heard of double up feature being cheated in some games in the past. I've never been able to do it and I wouldn't if I knew how.

It sure looks like an inside job:

"On June 22, Nestor asked a casino worker to activate a draw poker slot machine's "double up" feature, showing a technician how to do it, the presentment states.A supervisor told Nestor the casino could not activate the feature without the state Gaming Control Board's permission. The technician disabled the double up feature but forgot to save the changes, the presentment states.

During the next two months, Nestor, Laverde and Loushil visited the casino 15 times, authorities said. The investigation showed Nestor repeatedly used "a complex series of button presses and screen changes to cause the slot machine to have an error in its programming. This resulted in the machine displaying a false jackpot," according to the presentment.

The largest payout was $40,550 on July 22, the presentment states. On seven other occasions, the men hit jackpots of more than $20,000, including four times on Aug. 26."--Pittsburgh Tribune

The big question!! (in my mind)

I have seen no mention of a gaming chip being compromised or changed. If turning on double up feature was all the tech did, why would machine have the added feature to cheat it; "a complex series of button presses and screen changes" causing machine to display false jackpot? A neat feature programed into the machine by manufacturer.

It seems only one machine was comprimised, yet about 75 machines were shut down at the property. Games were changed and already crummy pay tables were made worse. What a surprise!

I am guessing more facts should surface. I think facts should be made public as tax $$ are involved and the citizens have a right to know. Of course, that's debatable.

How soon can we expect the Dancer school of vp to include double up strategy?
