Man that sucks. I have not been in such a minority. Oh, maybe I was at the
grocery store on the Rez in Kayenta,AZ at 9am? One out of 28, come-on members
of vpFREE this is more important than the first Tuesday in November.

Vote Today! As Mayor Richard Daly (the first) would say. " Vote early...and
often".

I wear my "I voted" sticker proudly.

folks was resurrected on Election Day. Everyone was also a Democrat,
and cast his/her vote for the machine candidate. Daly did know how
to keep the schools running, the snow plowed, and the city strike-free,
The best kind of benevolent dictator!

The only time he went just a tad too far, and some citizens
complained, was when he told the city police to "Shoot To Kill" any
obstreperous demonstrator (against the Viet Nam war) during the
Democratic Presidential Convention in 1968.

Oh, the good old days!

Oh, now you've stirred memories of Daly's successor, Bilandic, who met
his Waterloo in the snow storm of 1979. 21 inches fell in that storm
(total snowfall that season was a record 89 inches ... ah, those were
the days!

Snow removal effort collapsed and a good part of the city was
paralyzed for days. Frustration and anger over the situation are
credited with the ousting of Bilandic and Jane Byrne's succession in
the next election.
