2015 Seven Stars Signature Events

I just reserved my Seven Stars Signature Event for 2015. I'm hoping that additional benefits for each Event will be forthcoming (like airfare or significant resort credits/free play).

I selected the Lake Tahoe Event, but there is very little added to the Event that helps it rise above the normal benefits that would be available to any Seven Stars member visiting Tahoe--four nights lodging, cruise on the lake or gondola ride, and some free drinks. The "extras" seem to be a group seafood dinner on Saturday, a brunch on Sunday, a "welcome gift" (not really holding my breath on that one), and a drawing. The drawing holds some possibilities, but it depends on a) how "exclusive" a drawing it is and b) how many Seven Stars choose the Tahoe Event.

It also appears that complimentary transportation is no longer being offered from the airport in Reno.

The 2014 Seven Stars Signature Events seem to have been of much greater value that the choices offered this year despite the pre-boarding/post-sailing havoc of the New England/Canada Cruise 2014 Event (the chaos of which was masterfully captured by Miss Craps).

Like "Max", I've reserved Lake Tahoe ... anticipating added FSP when my personal offer is received (as was the case last year). However, I may ultimately swap over to the LV event. In last year's offers, my LV option had the richer FSP component.

We just reserved the Las Vegas event and also hope they will let us add in some Free Play when we get closer to the date. It is also the easiest and least expensive for us to travel to. I liked the choice of concerts. Also, a nice choice of options for the brunch. I really do wish they still had the cruise option that I enjoyed for the last two years.....sigh....

I am curious.....have you heard there will even be free slot play with this Signature Event....or are you just hoping there will be? With all the cuts, there may not be any with this offer. The monthly free play offers have been cut back.... at least from everything that I have heard.

As Las Vegas is where I regularly play, I have monthly Free Play offers. When I was registering for the specific Signature Event choices I asked about the chance of additional Free Play (as they allowed last year). I was told that I should ask my host to see if it can be authorized. Like others have noted, it appears our LV hosts can sometimes get something extra authorized since we have been pointing out how much our regular offers have dropped

I'm just hoping. As Harry stated, there were offers last year that were individualized (I believe) based on your play, etc. As I recall, the offers came in the form of an email and mine included an airfare component and a free play component. As I am basically a Seven Stars who stops at 150,000 TCs, my offers last year were not particularly enticing.

I may end up cancelling my Tahoe Event and go there at another time when I am not a small fish in a small pond with a lot of big fish.

I trust CZR won't be so short-sighted as to omit FSP from this year's offers. Failing to provide some cushion against anticipated losses is an effective invitation to "0" trip.

Re expected machine contention during the Tahoe event ... a key reason I avoided this event last year. Even at the best of times, machine access can be frustrating.

I was playing at Tahoe this Wednesday, in the evening, where I played a 5-hr session on a machine. In the middle of the session, another player clearly wanted the machine ... he sat down at an adjacent bank, swiveled his chair so he was directly facing me, and propped his legs up on the adjacent chair -- taking roost for 40-minutes before he gave up.

This was the most obnoxious behavior I've witnessed in some time (not to mention the fact that he deterred me from taking a rest break, during which he might have secured the machine -- I don't shut machines down, other than in exceptional circumstances) In fact, had he merely politely approached me, I might have negotiated a share; but there was no way I was going to suggest such an arrangement to this freak. (Apologies if the subject reads this, but you screwed the pooch).

If only that would become SOP.

How many times have we seen machines being shut down for a lunch or dinner break, leaving the machine completely unused, so that (and I was actually told this) "someone else might get my Royal Flush while I was eating".

GEESH!

I see machines shut down for guest for the entire weekend with the player only playing the machine an hour or two each day. A lady had 4 of the 8 blazing 7 machines shut down for the weekend in March while we were there. I only saw her playing once for a very brief period. In Tahoe last year same thing for one of the few VP machines I liked.

How about the couples that arrive, play a minute on each of two machines and proceed to shut them down for 6+ hrs. These are the ones who dearly make me wish karma really does play out ...

For those whom this information helps you to make a decision one way or the other, Bonnie and I will be at the Lake Tahoe event.
