2007 Nominees for vpFREE Hall of Fame

In 2002 the vpFREE Video Poker Group elected and inducted five
charter members into the vpFREE Video Poker Hall of Fame, which
recognizes and honors those who have made significant
contributions to the playing, understanding and popularity of
video poker. These charter members and the 2003, 2004, 2005 and
2006 inductees are honored on the Hall of Fame web site:

Hall of Fame:

Jeffrey Compton
Anthony Curtis
Liam Daily
Larry DeMar
Dunbar
John Grochowski
Steve Jacobs
John "Lodestone" Kelly
Ernie Moody
Michael "The Wizard of Odds" Shackleford
TomSki

The 2007 Nominee web page which lists the nominees and some

The 2007 Hall of Fame election will be conducted between 24
August and 7 September. The nominee who receives the most votes
from the 7600+ vpFREE members will be the 2007 Hall of Fame
inductee. Each vpFREE member may cast one vote for one nominee,
and can change their vote at any time during the voting period.
If there is a tie vote, the vpFREE Administrative Committee will
break the tie and determine the 2007 inductee.

In 2008 and subsequent years, a nominee must be selected by more
than half of the voting members or there won't be an inductee
that year.

Between now and 24 AUG, additional nominees can be suggested by
vpFREE members (along with their qualifications), and the merits
of anyone's favorite can be expounded and discussed. Any
suggested nominee(s) who receive majority approval from the
Administrative Committee will be added to the list of nominees.

I propose a write in candidate: vp Fae. Everyone that posts here- or
even lurks here (as I mostly do)- knows of qualifications.

Let's do the right thing and recognize his efforts.

Thanks, Lee.

Thanks, but I'm too closely associated with vpFREE
and the Hall of Fame to be eligible.

My vote would be for Jazbo and Larry DeMar. These are clear cut and
IMHO they are much more deserving of many already inducted into the HoF.

Friday, August 3rd I walked into Harrahs VIP checkin to talk to a Host. Too many Harrahs employees to name went far, far beyond the call of duty to help me the next few days, including letting me use their computers to deal with American Airlines, attempting to fax documents to AA, comping me to two nights WHICH I DID NOT DESERVE, even waiving the 20 minute rule on one of the computers in the Diamond Lounge.
Also, that Fridaiy I rented a car from Hertz at the counter in Harrahs since I had to get to a pharmacy to get some 7 or 8 prescriptions filled. Being a CHEAP bastard, that was the first time I ever rented a car from Hertz. When I returned the car I explained that I needed to sit down until the shuttle was available to take me to check in at the McCarran American Airlines area where I had reserved a wheel chair. So how did Hertz react to that? They had a van take me to terminal!! The driver even left me in the air-conditioned van while he got out and verified the wheel chair reservation and found out where I supposed to wait for it!!
