2 Consecutive Delat Royals

I only posted the statement since I wondered it anyone, in this
large group, had heard of such a thing. It was 2 Royal Flushes
that were consecutively dealt on a $.25 machine at Harrah's
Ak Chin. I did not ask exactly when this happened. It also came
out in our conversation that she was a 7* and played both video
poker and slots and went to Las Vegas occasionally.

I was at the baseball game on a comp from Ak Chin. I assume
she was sitting in front of us with a similar ticket. She had
heard us mentioned something unusual that had happened and
turned to briefly joined our conversation for a few minutes.
Eventually this statement was made and clarified with her.
I have no reason to believe she was confused, lying or joking.
I simply express how rare such an event would be and left it
at that. I have little incentive to investigate this statement
further, but might see her again some day at Ak Chin.

If one were to ask the question "What are the chances that I will be
dealt a royal on each of the next two hands I play?" the answer would
be: 649,740 x 649,740= 422,162,067,600.

But if one waits until they are dealt a royal, then asks the
question "What are the chances that my next hand will also be a dealt
royal?" the answer would be 649,740.

I've heard rumors of it happening, but's that's all. A question I
would have about it would be "Were they in the same suit and were the
royal cards in the same position?"

Statistically speaking, with multi-thousands of video pokers in the
world, and probably multi-millions of hands being played every day,
it's not a matter of if it will happen, but when it will happen.

  I remember hearing about this happening at Harrah's Phoenix Ak-Chin a couple of years ago. One of the slot attendants was talking to my wife and I about it.
  The woman was playing the dollar DDB coin in carousel. These machines have since been replaced with TITO 9/7 DDB.
