1st Royal

Although I have only been playing video poker for
about two months, I was fortunate enough to hit my
first RF 2 days ago at a riverboat casino. Hoping I
was having a lucky streak, I returned to the same
casino last night and played another game bank of Full
House Frenzy, where I was shocked to see another royal
flush dealt on the screen. I have no idea what the
odds of hitting a RF 2 days in a row are, but my
buddies say I should rush out to buy a few lottery tickets!

Congrats. As you will learn over time, what seems like uncommon
streaks are pretty much the norm in VP. Most of the VP vets can
recall days with 2-3 RFs and dry spells of 200K hands or more.

Congratulations on your first two royals. My experience was
remarkably similar. I hit my first career royal one morning and was
dealt my second royal that afternoon.

Assuming 3,000 hands played per day, the odds against hitting two
royals in two days are only about 175 to one, so don't run out to buy
that lottery ticket.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You'll never forget your first Royal, and I'll
just bet you never forget your second, either.

My first big wins when I started playing VP seriously were on $.50
Loose Deuces when I hit two sets of 4 Deuces in less than 8 hours.
My sigoth hit on two sets in the same time frame. That's when we had
to start keeping records because of the four W-2's. It's also long
before we found out what kind of bankroll we should have to play at
the $.50 level. We were way over our heads at that point but didn't
know it. In this instance, fortune favored our ignorance. Hey, that
rhymes!

Congratulations

When my wife got her first royal flush at the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, they gave her a logo coffee mug with the handpay. Since then we have purchased a logo coffee mug from each casino whenever we get an RF. These are our "royal coffee mugs". I built a display shelf for them.

I got home from a Vegas trip about 20 minutes ago,
about even, btw.
    But the last trip in July was thirteen days, solo
and I hit 3 Royals (two progressives) in three
different stores. But since I played some 12 hours a
day or so, 1000 hands per hour, I figure I went
through two "cycles" so this was not that unusual!! I
posted a trip report about it on the LVA message boards.
