12 casinos visited last week. Opinion, after returning to Vegas from years ago.

Don't usually give trip reports. I play AC a lot. But Folks here were really nice and posted a lot of Vegas help. I appreciate it.

Red Rock - liked it a lot, played about 4-5 hrs. Can't wait to see if I get some offers.
Green Valley - Loved it too. play about about 4 hrs would have played more if had time.
Fiesta- 5 hours play- Liked the 100%ers Stayed later than should. in 9pm out 2am, went back to
              Eastside Cannery
Sam Town. Played couple days 3hrs, then 5 hrs. loved buffet seafood day. Also liked the steak and lobster
special. Good food and nice selection of 9/6JOB at bar and there on 7x day.
Mirage - Used to play there a lot, "old days". Back when CB was 0.63 %. Used to base out of there, for while,
and cash back would be $700 -$800 at checkout. Cash not free play . Spent $100. That was
$100 too much. Went there to walk the strip a little. Easy parking on casino bridge from park to
                casino.
Cannery- I stayed there 3 days. The room was immaculate. I was pleasing surprised. A bank of 6 were
100%+ at .25 , played a lot of evening hours and also put time in while waiting for wife get dressed.
They did have 8/5 Bonus. I played some at buck. Since they comped me 3 rooms and some food
I didn't have heart to stiff them. Eastside Cannery is a local honkey tonk bar and casino. They
had a good singing group playing in evenings I was there. Playing at quarter becomes boring
after a while. FPDW brought back memories of marathon play of 2 $! FPDW at Frontier.
Orleans Boyd property. I didn't really like it. couple hrs play there. They were busy though. A lot folks
                  must like it.
Gold Coast, I liked it and stayed there 2 nites, then 3 nites after Cannery. All comped. Wife hit 2 .50 royals
almost back to back. Shift manager gave her a comp to Cortez room, $150. Later she caught
                      another .50 cent and I hit a $1 Royal. Royals earned a $100 bonus.
Railroad Pass- Stopped to eat while heading back to Cannery from dam. Food was good and cheap.
Played $20. Local casino and truck stop, mostly. Very small.
Palms- Went to check out, same as before. Only place that had my name left in their data base. didn't play
               much.
Westgate. - Old, needs spruced up. Played DDB progressive @ $7600. worth a couple hundreds. At least to
me. Used to stay and play there frequently.
Rio Building needs some trim painted and other maintenance Machines were clean and they all had
new looking monitors and machines. pay schedules bad. I walked around. I didn't give them
                 .10 cents in play.

My goal was to stay and play on comps having no established record. ( They deleted me from the system) Ain't that a kick in the ass! I and my wife succeeded; Paid for nothing but tips. Hit 4 royals. Got $400 in royal bonus money. Cashed out, between us, over $280 free play. We skewed our play to be heavier when 4, 5 and 7 times points. I was really pleased with our trip. I have had better. This was way better than normal. Were glad we went..

This is the second time you mentioned FPDW at Eastside Cannery. I think you are mistaken.

Hi there Bobbartop
First, I have never been accused of being smartest guy in town. I believe you may be right . I may have been playing NSUD. Not good for me, as I used FPDW strategy. One bright side I was only playing quarter. It never ceases to amaze me how sometime one can have a mental block I used faulty memory and believed they were the full pay. My old strategy sheet doesn't have pay schedule on it. Since I haven't played Deuces In 9 years, I wasn't on my game. (I had my cheat sheet?) A mistake that should not happen to a guy who has played vp since Sircoma video pokers built by Si Redd . I remember playing vp in
IP when there were a few prototype machines there. Si later founded IGT. But don't hold me to that, my memory might be crap. I STAND CORRECTED !!

Another good example of why casinos don't really lose..... Under all conditions the cash box always shows
profit. It's just they want obscene profits.

Well, I'm not sure about anything because I have not been to Eastside Cannery in a long time. So they could have a thousand FPDW machines as far as I know. It's just that if they did have the game I probably would have heard about it. Assuming you accidentally played NSUD, that could be, and like you said, not really a big deal, especially just a little play for quarters. But I hope you did not confuse the 15-9 games for FPDW, because that would be even worse. They do have 15-9 games there. Anyway, enjoyed your trip report, even if it confused me a little.

Eastside Cannery is a lovely place, I need to stop by there soon. I do, however, miss the Nevada Palace. Not sure why.

Congrats on hitting $10k worth of Jackpots at GoldCoast...probably put a hurt on them, lol.

Bob..... Thanks for reply. I believe they also have the 15/9 games . They are in .25 to 1.00. I know I wasn't on
them. The E Cannery is OK place for couple days. I think I would spend most of my time at Sams or
Fiesta though. Might as well stay there. Didn't get any times offers or see any mention. CB wasn't good.
Most of games i played were cut CB%; $4 per 1 point, I believe.

I took a look see at buffet, and looked ok. We never ate there. Regular restaurant had a prime rib promo
with 600 points, gets $5 off on each of 2 dinners. Wouldn't substitute anything for potatoes as "special". Makes no sense to me. Food was OK. If they had few more decent games it would help. Even plain vanilla
JOB 9/6 at $1 down wouldn't hurt them a bit. Very little expense on promos. Of course, that's my opinion.

My nephew lives near and has gone there in past for some kind of entertainment. They are not serious players. He used to be a dealer, but now has a "regular" job.

Hi Richards Well thank you. I consider it a good trip. However, even with nice wins, an 8 day
visit to Vegas could be disastrous. But, not in my case Even if I didn't get the
4Gs hit (old guys don't say 4K), I was only out $486. Includes expenses
for soda, tips, Sudafed, and all misc expense from home till back. Had to fill gas
tank on rental, but used credit. Credit with rental too. When I have a car, I like to stop
at store and load up on snacks, soda, water etc. $2 - $3 for vending machine mounts
up. Also, i purchase what I like not what machine offers.

Yes again, It was a great trip. I've had way better. But, they are usually hard to come by.
My wife real happy too. She hit $6, I only got $4.

I doubt it hurt Coast. We all know, they consider it a temporary loan.

I definitely like the north Cannery better. The Eastside could certainly stand to have better video poker, but the last time I was there the place was packed in the afternoon. Plenty of people playing 8-5 Double Double. Why not? lol
