12/4-12/8 Trip Report

Was at JANugget all this weekend.
Got snowed in, so had to stay until today.
Never saw that much snow in Reno, EVER! Five years ago, was staying at Silver Club, and it dumped over night, but was gone the next day.
It started snowing on Saturday, and didn't quit until Monday night. There had to of been a full foot dumped in the Reno Valley.
Before the snow came, we drove down to Minden and stopped in at Carson Valley Inn, just for a ride...
Happened to find a few of the old Sigma Flush Attack machines! Only at nickle level, but still...
Managed to hit a Royal Flush IN Flush Attack Mode.
Posted the picture on the main database.

It's nice to hear that the 10-pack of Sigma nickel Flush Attacks is still at the CVI. I always put some time on those games when I'm up there and I will be there next month in mid January. I'm hoping they still have their old quarter and nickel Gamemakers.

JA Nugget in Sparks had a single 1.00 Flush Attack the last time I was there(about 1 year ago), just outside the high stakes salon. I wonder if it's still there.

The only other Flush Attack that I know of is another single 1.00 machine at Dini's in Yerington. That casino is right next door to the main casino in town......Casino West.

One of my favorite hidden gems in the Carson City area is the Topaz Lodge Casino about 20 miles south of the CVI on the California state line. One of the best views you'll ever see from a casino is at their main bar, which overlooks Topaz Lake and the surrounding mountains.
The bar's machine inventory still contains many of the old quarter Gamemakers, which happen to be one of my favorite to play.

Wow, there was 10? There was only 4 now.
Nah, the only Sigma machine left at JANugget is the Double Jackpot.
We were actually on our WAY to Topaz, but the snow started coming down harder the farther we drove, so we decided to just go back to CVI.

Those Sigma machines and many other good plays are on a death watch. The Carson Valley Inn has been sold (just finalized), and the new owners stated they were going to completely remodel the casino..... there goes the good plays including the Pick'em. The new owners are the owners of Bodine's in Carson City. A quick look at them in August showed short pay vp everywhere I looked.

Really? That's sad to hear that, because I've always enjoyed the "rustic" feel of CVI...aside from pretty good vP. (Hell, when I was there this past weekend, I watched FOUR royal's get hit in just the few hours I was there!)
