$1000 Hand Pay at Harrah's AC

Howdy Wranglers

Today I found out Harrah's AC has changed their door to door payout service
from a minimum of 1200 to 1000 dineros. What precipitated this totally
anti player move is beyond my aging brain. It is now clearly printed on a
small sticker on each slot and vp machine if you are carrying a high power
magnifying glass because the printing is the size of rat turds.

Can anybody think of one advantage the player has with this new wrinkle
except for a better opportunity to get mugged in the garage or restroom?

Yes, the advantage to the player is that he or she can be a magnanimous person,
and give, via an unnecessary tip, the raise to the slot attendant that Harrah's
was too cheap to give.

Certainly the game is rigged. Don’t let that stop you; if you don’t bet, you
can’t win. -Lazarus Long

If I were a slot attendant, the word unnecessary might stir anger in me even if I agreed with the last part of your comment about Harrah's being too cheap. While tipping is voluntary, withholding might transfer the cheap connotation to the withholder.

I'm sorry, but the terminology used in the teams differers greatly from what's used outside of them.

What does, "door to door payout service" mean?

Would you prefer if he had said "...a necessary tip"?

Of course the tip is unnecesary.

Unnecessary refers to the fact that unlike a $1200+ hand pay which requires a
W2G, there is no reason for a hand pay of under that amount. Mohegan Sun up
until fairly recently, hand paid every "jackpot" of $500 or more. Totally
unnecessary, and a huge waste of time.

I do, in fact, tip on hand pays where I'm getting a W2G, the amount according to
2 factors: the pleasantness, or lack thereof, of the slot attendant, and the
speed with which I receive my money.
