An old war horse story:
After a losing trip, I was all bummed out and had only $20 in my bankroll
left so I decided to take one last shot.
I went to the 100% pay back VP at the Strat and started to play quarters.
I had such good luck that I switched to dollars. I kept hitting four of a
kinds like crazy. I could not believe the luck, within about 45 minutes I
was near $1,000 from my $20 investment!
I thought "Great! I'll quit at $1,000.
I got as high as $980 and I began to slip $960, $940, $920. I quit at $920
because my luck was definitely waning but I left having won most of my
losses back for the three night stay.
