that has to be the dumbest post i have ever read on this

How would you know if they are rigged or not? Are you an expert in on-line
gambling?

Hi
I wanted to get a little something for a host who has been very helpful since I started using e-mail to communicate with her. She sucked with voice mail but has been great with e-mail.

I was thinking of a nice bottle(s)of wine or perfume.
1) It is an appropriate gift
2) How do I find out what she likes or would prefer?

Thanks
Joel

of course i actually didn't say they were rigged, but just not
properly regulated to ensure a fair game...even regulation with online
play would seem problematic as the physical machine doesn't actually
exist to check the hardware...

sorry vpfree...my statement might have been put a bit more
delicately...though i was responding to a bit dogmatic
nonthinking...really can't image anyone would prefer unregulated
gambling after pondering it for 2 seconds...

Wine - never had a problem.

Perfume - I dunno (don't drink the stuff myself).
        - what if she replies with a very expensive brand?

2) How do I find out what she likes or would prefer?

I generally just ask the question "What's your drink of
choice?".

Their answer is usually to name a generic liquor, or red or
white wine.

Joel

For a guy, finding out what her perfume is might be a problem, but
in conversation you can easily find out what kind of wine she enjoys.
There is one host I always bring a gift for. Began with a gift
certificate but as we got to know each other better, I was able to
choose things I knew she liked.
