The Suncoast has unceremoniously downgraded its ENTIRE inventory (60+
machines) of FPDW to NSUD. FPDW is now officially on the endangered
species list. Every casino in Las Vegas is going to be watching this
situation. If Suncoast improves its bottom line as a result of this
move, FPDW will be killed off in its entirety. The first bomb has
been dropped and the full pay video poker war is on.
It's entirely up to the players to determine the fate of FPVP. If
you continue to play at the Suncoast and profits don't go south, then
FPDW will be wiped out everywhere. Even though the Suncoast still
has full pay DB, there is absolutely NO EXCUSE to play there if you
value ANY full pay games. Locals must drive the extra 15 minutes to
Texas Station or Fiesta Rancho. Visitors must bypass the generous
room comps at the Suncoast and head for the Stations, Palms, Gold
Coast, Orleans, Barbary Coast, or other full pay friendly casino.
Patronize venues like Main Street Station, which recently added FPDW
to its extensive 10/7 DB inventory.
This is a MOST SERIOUS situation not only for full pay deuces but
also for ALL other full pay video poker games. If the Suncoast can
kill off FPDW without suffering SERIOUS financial consequences, then
all full pay games will disappear in the VERY near future. Las Vegas
will become just like the rest of the country and 9/6 JOB will be the
best game available.
ALL PLAYERS can send a STRONG message by taking our business from the
SUNCOAST to other full pay venues. Any player who values full pay
video poker must immediately go to the SC and refuse to put their
player's card in while taking their cash back out. If you
rationalize that you can still play DB there, or patronize the sports
book since it's close by, then you are as responsible for the
eventual death of FPVP as the casino executives who made this
decision. If you drive the few extra miles to play now, you will
save the good games for the future. CHARLESTON STATION will soon be
in the Summerlin area but full pay video poker will not be there
UNLESS you boycott the SUNCOAST now.
Make not doubt about it. This is a much larger issue than full pay
deuces at any one casino. This is the future of the ENTIRE inventory
of 100% return games. This is a war in which EVERY player must
participate to be successful. Nothing less than a 100% boycott of
the SUNCOAST is acceptable. If we fail in this mission, we have only
ourselves to blame.
Stay away from the Suncoast and save full pay for another day.
