I've dealt with these Bozos, er, production workers in the past. Ask
for the machine. If they don't give it up, ask them what the house
policy is on tying up two machines. This usually gets it done. If it
doesn't, go find the hired help and explain the situation. That
always gets it done.

Not all of them, one time I asked and the guy got nasty and acted
like he wanted to start a fight. However, I have had others give up a
machine right away.
Now, the real question is ... can someone playing two machines these
days really play faster than playing a single machine. I'm not
talking about the old coin-dropper, credit-adder machines. The new
IGT machines where hitting the deal key twice immediately deals a new
hand. My own personal feeling is that they are actually playing
slower than a person concentrating on a single machine. The only
advantage I can see is when one locks up for a W2G.
Thoughts?

There is a group of players that play the 25 cent FPDW and 10/7 DB
machines at Sam's Town. Some of the group play two machines at once.
Although I never actually counted the hands, I suspect they must be
playing over 1000 hands/hr. These guys are really good. When I get back
there next March, I'll make an attempt to get a count. Maybe some of the
locals can give a more precise answer. Dick McK.

I was really embarrassed lately by someone who was playing 2 machines
next to me. I tracked how many points he was getting on the machine
that was closest to me and compared it to how many points I was making
and he was making something like 6/7 as many as I was. I was playing
perhaps 900 hands per hour, so that would put him at about 1600. A
few days later, I needed to make a certain number of points before a
certain time and 900 hands per hour wasn't going to be good enough, so
I played 2 machines for a while, assuming it would speed me up. But
it definitely slowed me down. I just couldn't get into the same
rhythm that I can with one machine. Some people can play 2 machines
faster than they can play one and some can't.
