"Exactly right on all counts. Do you find it amusing or frustrating
that there are so many nonpros that consistently speculate about
pros, what they think and how they work, and they're always wrong."

Having either bankrolled or coached several pros, I have to say
Lounge Lizard needs to rethink his comments. To say so "many
nonpros ... and they're always wrong" reflects someone who fails to
fully understand the dynamics of advantage play. Here's an example
of pros turning down a "huge" positive ev opportunity.

I am playing a video poker game that has an EV of about 100.5% with
RF at 800 for 1; the EV ranges from 96% to 104% because of
progressive meters; and, the super-full pay version returns north of
about 102.7% with RF at 800 for 1 [the EVs have been verified by two
of the brightest minds in video poker]. The EV does not include (1)
the 33 basis points in cash back or (2) other items that would
increase the EV to over 120%. I have revealed the game to numerous
pros and they won't play it because the transaction costs are too
high. So, here's a wonderful example where a positive ev game can
co-exists with pros. Unfortunately, I can't reveal the game due to
a confidentiality clause.
