What the hell is this Sir Marksalot crap?
I hope everybody enjoyed it as much as I did, even though there seemed to be
a lot of focus on my recent amazing luck at another game. This was a Video
Poker group, right? It was excellent to put faces with many whom I'd never met
in person before. It wasn't so excellent to watch Terry get his a$$ handed to
him at the quarter PickEms beforehand, but the conversation was fun.
The addition of Steve Senk was great, I liked meeting the guy. He certainly
seems to have some "progressive" (pun intended) ideas about kicking up the
Greektown video poker a few more notches than the already well deserved Best in
Detroit level. Getting a guided tour of the new electronic poker tables was
very cool, but I'm not a poker player and never will be. If y'all decide to
have a vpFREE poker game next time around, take one of those electronic tables
and I'll just sit there and play dealer! Oh, Waitress, dealer needs a
beer......
Thanks from here to everyone who took the time to attend this, and especially
to JZ for setting it all up.

We had quite a turn out for the meet today:

Henry and Carol ( it is Carol, isn't it?)

Marksalot ( now sir Markalot)
Special Guest, Steve Senk , Director of slots for Greektown. ( I hope I
didn't forget anyone).Steve fielded some questions and gave us a tour of the new automated poker
tables. They look interesting. Maybe we can arrange a VP Free Detroit live
poker tournament. Maybe a $35 + $7 format. If we get enough people, I think
Greektown would go for it.Dinner at Pegasus was great and enough food to feed a small city. Thanks to
Preston, Dan, Brian and Terry for kicking in for dinner. Some of stopped at
Cafe Europa for a little coffee and dessert ( even though we didn't need it)
afterwards. Very tasty. Stop in if you get a chance.A couple of you had questions during the evening about taxes or comp offers.
This board is a great place to post such questions. I saw that membership is
up to 86. Pretty cool.Steve Senk mentioned that he would apply for formal membership. I think that
is a great idea. I'd love to see all the people who play 6/5 JOB at MGM
spend their time at Greektown. Is MGM worth $40/hour ( at quarters) over
Greektown? Maybe MGM is actually a wholly owned subsidiary of Harrahs. That's all for now. We'll have to do this again in March or April. Thanks to
all for attending.
