VP Button Pounding

This has been an amusing thread for my wife and I, frequent lurkers
but infrequent posters. We happened to be in Bally's Atlantic City
twice in the last month, on visits a few weeks apart, and there was an
older gentleman there both times slapping the keys with wild rythmic
gestures like an orchestra conductor. He didn't last long, as it must
have been exhausting to play in this manner. While he played most of
the other players in the vicinity just looked at each other and shook
their heads...

I may have missed it) is why some players literally beat up on

their

machines. I am not referring to a firm hold, so that a key card is
not whiffed away, but an actual very hard slap or pound on the
buttons. Sometimes I think that the player is furious at the
machine (or him/herself for playing). This is not a gender
issue...both male & female players indulge in this behavior. I

find

this habit to be both mildly annoying and distracting when it

occurs

in the seat next to mine, and generally move to a different

machine

if ir it really gets on my nerves. I have never asked a player

who

was doing the pounding, why they did this (mostly to avoid a
possible confrontation) but I am curious about it. Does anyone on
this forum do this, or know why others do? Again, I am NOT
referring to firmly holding cards before discarding.

Thanks, Babe

This is the 1st time I've ever replied to one of

my own posts. I am SO SORRY that I asked this seemingly innocent
and innocuous question!! Little did I know what a firestorm of
vitriol it would create. Please fellow vp players, ENOUGH ALREADY!
Lets get back to interesting and informative vp posting, and
dispense with punching, shooting, and arresting fellow vp players.
We all have something in common.....enjoying the game of video
poker. Politics, smoking, hatred, gun control and the law do not
pertain to how to get the most enjoyment from playing vp.

Lighten up, guys!

I already have. Didn't you see my clueless post about Jerry Springer? I was joking, you know. ... Really, I was.

Okay. VP! Will be going to Tunica next week, so I'll report back on any changes I notice.

Cheers.
