It would depend on your priorities. If you prioritize the mean value of each hand, then maxEV, if you prioritize the cost of a royal, then min-cost-royal, if you prioritize bankroll growth, then Kelly optimal, if your prioritize risk, then min-risk strategy.

That's a basic truism for any gambling, if you find a good play, you have to play till the play is over if you want the maxEV. But you can always settle for less. And if it takes a while to recover, you might be missing out on other EV's. This is sort of like arguing that you should have three jobs to cover the full 24 hours of a day and that sleep and weekends are unproductive. But most of us understand that sleeping is actually productive and maybe taking one day off per week is also productive. Obviously, the longer you attempt to play continuously, the higher your error rate goes. At some point it's more productive to catch some sleep.
